Your donation to the CD5 Independence Party will got towards our issue campaigns like the recent 50 MORE COPS Campaign as well as elections. In 2008 we will successfully push reform in schools, Minneapolis city structure (a referendum), as well as get local and state-wide candidates elected.  Your donation will make a difference!

We will send you a state rebate receipt and tax form for the first $50 of you donation ($100 per couple) within four mailing days. You can submit the tax form and receive $50 in a rebate per individual per year.

Spring, 2007– we were one of several organizations who helped successfully fight off the legislative attack on charter schools

 

Fall, 2007– we successful pushed Mayor Rybak to elect 18 more cops (we are still fighting for more!

 

….and what we will do in 2008:

 

Spring 2008– we will launch and successfully put a referendum on the ballot to reform Minneapolis City Government

 

Spring 2008– we will lobby for very specific school reform throughout CD5– including repealing No Child Left Behind, expanding access to sports programs, and supporting an initiative to reform Minneapolis school board elections-

 

Fall 2008– we will elect city council members in the suburbs, school board members in Minneapolis, and our first legislator within CD5.
